This is how you look at it. Last August 24 was Fahmia's 10th birthday. She already past ten years of her life and I see how the time is going in its own way.
For new a fathers it is an experience that he never had before. Something that you can not express. It was an  early evening on 23 of August, 2003. I was walking at a place close to Dhaka Airport. There was a newly established vegetable market close to airport railway station. I had a plan to buy some fresh vegetable. Suddenly I got a call from my wife, she is not feeling well.
I knew that she was not feeling well as long as her pregnancy was going at seven month stage. We just had a doctor's consultation one day before. The doctor was quite happy with her progress. Still every situation counts and needs special attention.
When I went back, we decided to visit the doctor again. It is not very close and those who know the traffic in Dahaka can realize the travelling distance from Airport to Dhanmondi. Any way, while travelling my wife was quite normal. Fortunately in that night, it did not took that long for us to travel to the Dhanmondi to Dr. Maliha's office. My wife was admitted immediately.
As you are a first time father, you don't know what to do. I talked with the doctor who was there at that time. My mother in law came to hospital to see us. I left the hospital as I thought everything was ok and she will feel better very soon. I came back to our resident leaving my wife and mother in law in the nursing home.
I can't remember how was my sleeping in that night. But next day early in the morning I got a phone call. Probably I did not understand what my wife said. Normally don't receive all the message when you just woke up. But I understood, Urmi is in the labor room.
I had a quick breakfast and immoderately started for the hospital. It was about 7:00 in the morning and traffic was bad. While I was in the transit, I got a phone call from my mother in law that I already became a father.
